Key Purpose

We are looking for someone to oversee and manage a team on all day to day tasks throughout the secondary production process, this role will report directly to the Productions and Operations Manager, it is a permanent, full-time position.

Summary of key tasks
  • Liaising with multiple departments including external warehouses, internal warehouses, various sales departments (ecommerce, hospitality, marketing, and tours), and production
  • Screening all purchase orders and informing the production and warehouse team
  • Book collection of finished goods for dispatch
  • Book delivery slots with external warehouses
  • Liasing with external warehouses to bring back stock stored off site as per production teams request
  • Updating of Bottle books of all new products and informing relevant departments once completed
  • Informing all departments of vintage changes and collating all information to send out updated information on the wines.
  • Updating of technical specification for departments to access.
  • Admin support for trade and export orders (barcode changes, EMCS movements, customer service, invoicing)
  • Tracking of stock levels in multiple warehouses, correlating this back to sales data and aligning with allocations to determine product demand and forecasting.
  • Utilising data to support production on scheduling, predicting restock and order of dry goods along with supporting winery on grape procurements.
  • Ordering of labels and the QC around label requirements and barcodes
  • Overseeing export orders and completing all relevant documentation for dispatch
  • Working with production and winery to support on quality control of the wines from start to finish, keeping records, following up and addressing any complaints/reports received.
  • Overseeing the execution of regular stock takes, addressing of errors and low stock, along with supervising the acceptance and checking deliveries of stock.
  • Reporting to the Production and Operations Manager around the management of supplies and stock required for the secondary production process.
  • Supporting winery during bottling around logistics
  • Supporting warehouse in day to day task as and when needed
  • Complying with health and safety requirements in the production areas and in accordance with HACCP.
  • Adherence to all SALSA requirements, working alongside the winery and production to execute processes in order to pass annual audit.
  • Commitment to maintaining and initiative to continually improve quality in all aspects of the process.
  • Working alongside Production and Operations Manager to put together site improvement suggestions and upgrading of systems.
Requirements
  • Strong winemaking interest
  • Understanding of sales, demand, production and planning
  • IT skills including Microsoft Office, to understand and analyse data and reports generated by departments across the business e.g. warehouse, sales

Salary

Commensurate with experience. Training is offered where necessary to do the job, additional professional development offered after one year of service is completed satisfactorily.

Hours

40 hours Monday to Friday 7.30 to 4.00 (30 minutes for lunch) – with additional hours as required at harvest and bottling
