Job Duties:
The Teaching Assistant will support teachers in the classroom, assist with lesson planning and preparation, provide one-on-one support to students, help with classroom management, and contribute to the overall learning environment. They may also assist with administrative tasks and participate in extracurricular activities.
Required Qualifications:
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, relevant teaching assistant qualification
Education:
Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths. Additional teaching assistant qualification is required.
Experience:
Prior experience working in an educational setting as a teaching assistant is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
Good communication skills, ability to work well in a team, understanding of classroom dynamics, patience and empathy towards students, basic IT skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, First Aid certification.
Working Conditions:
The Teaching Assistant will work in a classroom setting within a school environment. The role may involve standing for long periods, interacting with students and teachers, and participating in school events.
