DC Advisory is looking to hire a part-time Accounts Assistant to join their growing Finance team in London. This role will require someone with meticulous attention to detail and excellent organisational skills. All training will be provided and no specific finance qualifications are necessary.

This role will require commitment of 21 hours per week, with flexibility to structure this time as you wish.

Key responsibilities of this role will include both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable duties as follows:

  • Invoice Processing: Review, code, and process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Payment Processing: Prepare and process payment runs, ensuring accurate and timely payments to suppliers while maintaining appropriate supporting documentation..
  • Vendor Management: Set up new employees and suppliers in accounting system. Maintain strong relationships with vendors, responding promptly to inquiries and resolving any invoice discrepancies or payment issues.
  • Expense Management: Assist in processing employee expense claims, ensuring compliance with company expense policies and validating supporting documentation.
  • AP Reconciliation: Conduct regular reconciliation of vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or outstanding issues.
  • Cash Reconciliation: Perform weekly bank reconciliations across all GBP and foreign bank accounts.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records, ensuring proper electronic filing and organisation of invoices, statements, and payment records.
  • Prepare and issue sales invoices – liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy.
  • Reconcile fee income against our internal CRM software (DealCloud) on a weekly basis.
  • Issue recharge invoices to intercompany entities.
  • Maintain and reconcile all chargeable expense accounts.
  • Credit management.
Requirements
  • Ideally 1-2 years’ experience in a finance role, preferably within a financial services environment (although not essential).
  • Good knowledge and experience of Excel.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ability to resolve issues and problems proactively and logically.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
