Assisting the Health and Safety Adviser and Occupational Health Adviser, you will help ensure that the University complies with the Health and Safety at Work Act and other Acts, Regulations and Codes of Practise relating to Health and Safety and Occupational Health at Work.

You will also provide professional advice and guidance to all levels of staff, but particularly to those with responsibility for assessing, managing and controlling risks to Health and Safety which will include Heads of Departments, School Managers and Departmental Safety Officers.

You must have experience of dealing with health and safety issues, supporting health and safety requirements and carrying out risk assessments of diverse working environments. You will hold membership of a relevant health and safety professional body, be qualified to NEBOSH General Certificate level or higher and be able to demonstrate health and safety advisory skills.
