The job:

You will be a Personal Assistant to a gentleman who has significant disabilities living in his own home. You will be part of a team providing his care and support including personal care. There are two Personal Assistants working at all times to ensure his needs are met. Duties include:

• Administration of medication· Showering· Household chores· Support to access the community· Record keeping· Providing companionship· Dressing· General personal care

The right person:

We are looking for someone who has good communication skills and is able to work as part of a team who is caring and patient.

Ideally, you will have a full valid driving licence.

The hours:

We are looking for someone to work a minimum of 24 hours per week, however, this is negotiable and more hours are available.

As the gentleman has 24 hour support on a 2:1 basis, the shifts are weekdays, weekends, nights and sleep in shifts. However, we understand that people have other commitments and so we are willing to negotiate shifts and rota’s.

The rates of pay and benefits:

PAs are paid £12.86 per hour

You will receive paid holidays and the opportunity for training relevant to your role.
