EYFS (NURSERY) SEND Support Assistant
What skills and experience we're looking for
This particular role involves working 1:1 with children with communication and interaction difficulties, sensory needs and intimate care, as well as at times working with all children in the nursery.
All successful candidates will have an EYFS level 3 qualification that is recognised by the DFE and have high expectations and skills in positive behaviour management. They must also have previous experience of working in an EYFS setting with children who have SEND and have proven experience working with children with communication and interaction needs.They must be strong team players and will need to be effective communicators as the role entails working closely with parents and outside agencies as well as other staff members and children. It is essential that they can follow and adapt planning to individual need, assess outcomes and acknowledge next steps in partnership with the class teacher.
