Senior Mechanical Engineer

Our client, one of the leading Multi-Disciplinary Contractors in the UK, is seeking a talented Mechanical Project Manager to join their team. With a long-term relationship and framework agreement with Yorkshire Water, this role offers stability and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vet all procurement packages technically.
• Coordinate services for proper integration into Treatment works.
• Oversee the production of all drawings, including plant and sub-contract layouts.
• Manage all labour and direct material matters.
• Support the Site Agent and general foreman on installation matters.
• Conduct regular Sub-Contract Project Reviews with the Site Manager.
• Ensure successful delivery of all mechanical requirements across a project portfolio.
• Work with the commercial team to procure mechanical requirements, focusing on offsite assembly and modularisation.
• Monitor progress to ensure delivery against agreed programs and budgets.
• Foster a positive team culture and environment.
• Undertake factory inspections and quality audits to ensure the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

• CSCS card & SSSTS / SMSTS & 1st Aid at Work.
• Diploma or Degree qualified.
• Technical knowledge of Civil, Electrical & Mechanical Water & Wastewater Operations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• Commercially astute.
• Experience in both pre-production and production Mechanical Project Engineering is desirable.
