Make a Difference: SEMH Teaching Assistant - Supporting Children Who Need It Most

Are you passionate about working with children and young people with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs? Do you have the resilience and dedication to help them overcome challenges and thrive?

Randstad Education is seeking compassionate and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistants to join our network of partner schools.

You will be:

  • A Champion for Children: Providing vital support to children and young people who need extra help to manage their emotions, behaviors, and social skills.
  • A Skilled and Patient Guide: Working closely with teachers to implement positive behavior strategies, create a safe and supportive learning environment, and help students build resilience.
  • A Trusted Role Model: Demonstrating empathy, understanding, and a positive attitude to build strong, trusting relationships with your students.

What You'll Need:

  • A Passion for Making a Difference: You believe in the potential of every child and are driven to help them reach their full potential.
  • Resilience and Patience: You understand that supporting students with SEMH needs requires dedication, empathy, and a willingness to persevere.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: You can build positive relationships with students, parents, and teachers, and you can effectively communicate with those with diverse needs.
  • Experience Working with SEMH: You have experience working with children and young people with emotional and behavioral challenges, ideally in a school setting.
  • A Positive Attitude: You are enthusiastic, adaptable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to Safeguarding: You are dedicated to promoting the well-being and safety of all children.
