We are seeking a passionate and dedicated General Science Teacher to join a dynamic team at a school in Huntingdon. This role is ideal for a qualified teacher who is committed to inspiring students across Key Stages 3 and 4 through engaging and practical science lessons.
As a Science Teacher, you will play a vital role in developing students' curiosity, analytical skills, and love for Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Whether you are an experienced educator or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), we welcome individuals who are eager to make a difference.This role begins September 2025.
Duties of a General Science Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Teach Biology, Chemistry, and Physics to a general science standard, ensuring a well-rounded education for students.
- Create interactive and practical learning experiences that spark curiosity and enthusiasm.
- Assess, track, and report on student progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
- Differentiate lessons to support all learners, including SEND and EAL students.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment with strong behaviour management strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Science curriculum and share best practices.
- Engage with parents and carers to support student progress.
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
Ideal General Science Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Science or a related subject.
- Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Science (ECTs welcome to apply).
- A passion for making Science accessible, exciting, and relevant for students.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills as a General Science Teacher.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
