IT Systems Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a IT Systems Manager to join a innovative business based in Tavistock.

Responsibilities:  Lead our IT infrastructure team to maintain efficient and secure operations.

 Develop, implement, and monitor a strategic, comprehensive enterprise information security and IT risk management program.
 Manage compliance of ISO27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, NHS DSCR, and other regulatory standards.
 Regular security audits, risk assessments, and uphold our annual compliance certifications.
 Oversee a network of 40 Windows Server 2019 virtual servers, optimising performance, and reliability.
 Monitor IT infrastructure to detect and respond to security threats.
 Respond to and recover from security breaches or incidents with a robust incident response plan.
 Provide training and guidance on compliance and data security best practices.

 Be responsible for deploying software using deployment tools and processes, following DevOps best practices.

Qualifications:  Proven expertise as an IT Manager focusing on infrastructure and compliance.

 Solid grasp of compliance frameworks such as ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus.
 A minimum of 3 years in IT systems management with a robust compliance and security background.
 Strong knowledge of technical infrastructure, networks, databases, and cloud systems, including the design and implementation of security solutions.
 Professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) are highly desirable.

 Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Cybersecurity or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Other considerations

The business operates a first responder roster in Infrastructure to provide 24/7/365 support to respond to operational & environmental service requirements. This post maybe part of an on-call rolling roster & the post holder would be required to participate in an on call rolling roster within the departmental Team.

Working in a highly diverse, fast paced, experienced team, collaborative working is important to us & as such we do require 5 days a week spent in the office at this stage, reviewable at later phases to a flexible hybrid approach of 3-4 days a week.
Full-time, Permanent
Monday- Friday 8 Hour Shift – 30 minutes Lunch

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000
