Please be advised that there is a temporary top up for Bands 2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top up to the living wage of £12.60 per hour - £24,638 per annum.

Job overview
The successful candidate will work as a member of a very busy team involved with the receipting, picking and packing of stock items, barcoding and delivery of stock to wards and departments throughout the hospital. Unloading of lorries, yearly stock take and general stores duties.
The post will involve coverage of a large area around the hospital and it will involve a lot of walking.
Main duties of the job
Exchange information both internally and externally with staff and suppliers regarding deliveries, including delivery times and damaged goods. “Book in” goods via the Oracle FMS system.
Ensure correct rotation and storage of goods (where applicable). Assist in stocktaking when requested.
Carry out day to day cleaning and general care of all store’s equipment.
To liaise with hospital personnel at R/D/delivery points and ensure all documentation is signed and completed as appropriate. Providing and receiving routine information orally and/or in writing, to inform Customers and work colleagues.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications
Essential criteria- NVQ Level 2 in Warehouse and Distribution (or willing to work towards) OR 3 GCSE’s (including Maths and English) OR Equivalent level of experience

- Basic knowledge of medical items
