Loading Bay Supervisor - 60 hours per week - Days
The Loading Bay Security Supervisor will oversee all security operations within the loading bay area of a large, mixed-purpose development. This role ensures the safe and efficient management of all deliveries and movements through the loading bay, while maintaining high security standards.
You will lead a team of security officers and coordinate back-of-house operations, including asset management, contractor access, and emergency procedures. The role also requires managing team training and ensuring the effective use of security equipment and systems.

Pay Rate: £16.50 per hour
Hours: 60 hours per week
Shifts: Monday to Friday - 0700 to 1900
Job Requirements:
SIA Licence required.Have a can-do attitude.
Computer literacy using a variety of software including Microsoft Office Suite, SafetyCulture, MyTAG, Genetec and SALTO.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, confident and personable with a good telephone manner
Excellent levels of customer service
Knowledge of high end residential and 5* hotel environment
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and recording capabilities
Ability to prioritise tasks and organise self and juniors in a fast-moving environment
Duties:
Supervise all activities within the loading bay, ensuring the safe and secure handling of deliveries, supplies, and equipment.Monitor and control access to the loading bay, preventing unauthorized entry and maintaining order.
Holding and issuing keysOversee the movement of vehicles, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Ensuring the safety of clients, staff and visitors to the loading bay.
Operation of CCTV
Ensure smooth coordination with retailers, contractors, residents, and hotel staff for scheduled deliveries and collections.
Ensuring all facilities remain in serviceable condition e.g. washrooms, laundry, car park barriersEvent support where required.
Carry out all other duties required for the smooth running of the loading bay and to provide every customer the highest level of service.
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of security officers assigned to the loading bay, ensuring high standards of performance.
Provide ongoing training and development for the team on security protocols, health and safety, and emergency procedures.
Ensure all staff are fully briefed on site policies and maintain regular team briefings.
Develop and implement back-of-house security training for all relevant staff, ensuring they are fully equipped to handle incidents and emergencies.
Ensure the team is proficient in using security equipment such as CCTV, alarm systems, and access control systems.
Conduct regular drills and training sessions on emergency response, fire safety, and evacuation procedures.
Monitor and manage the security of assets moving through the loading bay, ensuring proper logging and tracking of high-value items.
Implement asset control measures to minimize loss or damage to equipment and goods.
Ensure effective coordination with facilities and maintenance teams for the management of deliveries and equipment.
Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to loading bay operations, including health and safety and fire regulations.
Conduct regular health and safety checks, ensuring the loading bay is free of hazards and risks.
Ensure compliance with all company policies, including GDPR, safeguarding, and ethical standards.
Liaise with retail tenants, residential management, hotel staff, and contractors to ensure clear communication and coordination of deliveries and access.
Handle any issues or complaints related to loading bay operations, ensuring swift and professional resolution.
Provide regular reports to the Security Manager on the loading bay's security operations, incidents, and areas for improvement.
Ensure all security systems and equipment are functioning optimally, including CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
Conduct regular checks and maintenance of security equipment, coordinating repairs or replacements where necessary.
Maintain logs and records of all security-related activities, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
