Role Overview:
As an English Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support English department teachers in delivering engaging, well-structured lessons while working directly with students to boost their understanding and achievement in English. Key Responsibilities:
- Classroom Support: Work alongside English teachers during lessons, assisting with classroom management, answering student questions, and providing additional explanations to help students grasp key concepts.
- One-on-One Tutoring: Provide individual support for students needing extra help in English, focusing on areas like reading comprehension, writing skills, and literary analysis.
- Literacy Intervention: Lead small intervention groups aimed at improving literacy skills, supporting students in developing their reading and writing abilities to meet academic standards.
- Assessment Preparation: Help students prepare for exams and assessments by offering revision techniques, reviewing past materials, and helping students develop study skills for English coursework.
