Endoscopy Booking Team Leader

This busy specialty is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated Team Leader who can offer excellent administrative support to assist in the smooth running of the endoscopy booking office.
The Endoscopy Booking Team Leader will have responsibility for the day to day line management and support of all staff within the Endoscopy booking office including all sickness and HR responsibilities. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring an optimum level of efficient clerical support to the department in a timely and accurate manner.
Administrative experience including previous booking and/or appointment experience would be beneficial. Working knowledge of using Microsoft Office applications, an understanding of data protection and maintaining strict confidentiality in the healthcare setting are all essential, together with excellent organisational and communication skills, flexibility, good time management and the ability to work as part of a team.

Main duties of the job
The successful post holder will work closely with managers and staff at all levels to help develop and maintain a high quality booking and scheduling service for the Endoscopy Unit.
The Booking and Scheduling office manage Outpatient and Inpatient Endoscopy appointments across The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficient waiting list management and utilisation of Endoscopy lists across both sites.

The post holder will be working within the busy Endoscopy booking office based at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital (including main site and William Farr House), however the successful candidate will be required to travel and work at both The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and Princess Royal Hospital according to the needs of the service.
