SEND/Assessment Administrator (Graduate Internship)
Two year fixed term contract • Full time • Term-time only from September 2025

We are looking for a SEND Administrator with very strong organisational and interpersonal skills to support the SENDCo and the department. The role would be ideally suited for an individual who is considering a career in education, mentoring, or in other roles related to SEND.
The role will include tasks that ensure the smooth running of administrative tasks associated with supporting students with additional needs in both a primary and secondary context. The successful candidate should have a basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers, with a strong desire to develop expertise in this area.Appropriate training opportunities will be provided to support this process, including the mentoring of students if appropriate.
The post-holder should:
- Be educated to Degree level (essential).
- Have previously worked in a school or with young people (desirable).
- Have an understanding of SEND and the desire to learn about this area of education.
- Possess a deep commitment to child-centred education and the ability to create strong connections with young people.
- Have an ability to liaise and co-operate with colleagues and to work effectively in a team, accepting accountability for own actions and responsibilities.
- Be flexible, empathetic and patient is essential.
- Be able to organise, prioritise, plan ahead and co-ordinate a variety of tasks and procedures.
- Possess effective and proven communication skills. The job involves a significant amount of formal and informal contact with parents, students and colleagues.
- Have strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask.
- Have administration experience (desirable).
- Be proficient in Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Be reflective and responds well to feedback
