We are thrilled to announce an exceptional opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to become part of a team at a proudly independent, RCVS-accredited small animal practice nestled in a picturesque market town in the heart of the West Midlands. With over 40 years of dedicated service, our client has established a reputation for excellence in animal care, fostering a loyal client base within the community.

They have a friendly and stable team that bring experience and varied interests, including medicine, surgery and behaviour, and with an interesting and engaging caseload, the whole team have plenty of opportunities to consult and operate each week.

They are looking for a passionate and affable veterinary surgeon who is confident with routine surgery and emergencies and takes pride in offering fair and trusted veterinary services to their beloved clients.

They have recently relocated to brand-new, purpose-built, modern and spacious premises which are calm and welcoming, making a huge difference to the team, clients and pets they look after. The practice boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including digital radiography, dental x-ray, ultrasonography, in-house laboratory, separate cat and dog wards, 5 consult rooms and 3 fully-equipped theatres.

They are committed to providing the highest standard of care through continuous investment in cutting-edge technology and resources, and they will support you with any specialist interests you are keen to pursue.

Joining this dynamic team of veterinary professionals, you will collaborate with 7 vets, including a certificate holder in small animal medicine, 6 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Student Nurses, 3 Nursing Assistants, and a dedicated customer care team.
The partners work in the practice every day, as looking after and understanding the team is the top priority for them. They want everyone to feel valued, fulfilled and be able to pursue their own areas of interest. You will also benefit from advice from external specialists who regularly visit the practice.

Their full-time rota is flexible and highly conducive to a good work-life balance. You will work 4 days and 37 hours a week, with shifts from 8am 4:30pm or 11am 7pm. There are no OOHs or Sundays, and Saturdays are only 1 in 5 from 8:30am - 4:30pm.

Reception closes at 12pm on Saturdays, and you will receive time off in lieu for every Saturday you work. They are also happy to receive part-time applications, and can be flexible to make the rota work with your requirements.
