They would also deliver engineering excellence, troubleshooting and continuous improvement to all Powergen assets and landfill gas utilisation equipment to maximise revenue and reduce costs.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently and experience of large spark ignition 4-stroke internal combustion engines. Responsibilities:To provide high level technical and hands on support, as a focal point of expertise in the region, ensuring engineering excellence, efficient troubleshooting, and continuous improvement to all Powergen assets. Powergen assets include, but are not limited to, Jenbacher J320 spark ignition internal combustion engines, gas turbines, LFG flares, LFG gas plants, compressors, and all mechanical ancillary equipment.
To enhance the performance of Valencia’s Powergen assets, on a continual basis, through performance data auditing and enhanced fault finding and fault rectification processes.
Be pro-active and creative in problem solving and use initiative whilst maintaining exchange of information between the various Powergen teams.Review operational performance, CMMS, PowerBI and service data to enhance the region’s revenue potential, providing improvement programs for performance, reliability, and safety. Review KPI’s and breakdown statistics to drive down spend in key areas.
To be responsible for mentoring, developing, training, and supporting a team of highly skilled Powergen engineers, new starters and staff in associated roles by providing technical support, structured training and competency assessments.
