Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust wishes to invite applications for the post of a Consultant Radiologist with a specialist interest in Breast Imaging.
The Parapet Unit is a dedicated stand alone Breast Surgical Outpatient and Imaging facility located in the historic town of Windsor with easy access to London and Heathrow.
The Parapet Breast Unit provides Breast Screening and Symptomatic services to the local population and is acknowledged as a flagship service for the Trust with an outstanding local reputation for providing a high quality and comprehensive service.
The service meets the National Screening Targets, 2WW referrals, 31 and 62 day targets and was highly commended at the last Breast Screening QA visit for many areas of good practice.
The successful candidate would be joining a cohesive and motivated team of Consultant Breast Radiologists, Advanced Radiographic Practitioners, Oncoplastic Breast Surgeons and Oncologists.
The General Radiology and on call service is based at Wexham Park Hospital in Slough and Heatherwood Hospital in Ascot
Candidates wishing to apply must be registered with the General Medical Council with a license to practice and be on the Specialist Register or be eligible to be on the Specialist Register within 6 months of the date of the Advisory Appointments Committee.

JOB SUMMARY:
This job is for a Consultant Radiologist with a Specialist Interest in Breast Imaging
The job is a full time post comprising of 10 Programmed Activities (PAs), inclusive of on call commitment.
PURPOSE OF JOB:
To provide a full General Radiology service for the Trust with a special interest in Breast Screening and Symptomatic imaging
Audit & Clinical Governance
A half day per month is dedicated to audit and teaching. All elective work is cancelled for this session and staff are expected to attend and participate as part of clinical governance and audit arrangements. There is also a learning and discrepancy meeting.All CPD requirements must be met.
Directorate Consultant meetings are held monthly and are chaired by the Clinical Lead.
On Call
The post requires participation in the on call rota

Qualifications
Full GMC registration
FRCR or equivalent registration
Entry on Specialist Register (CCT or entry expected within 6 months of interview date)
Knowledge of legislation relating to Radiology e.g.: IR(ME)R 2000
Evidence of CPD
Knowledge of RCR Professional code of Conduct
Knowledge of the latest RCR and NICE guidance relating to Breast Imaging
Specific Competencies
Able to evaluate own Radiological practice
Able to demonstrate innovative thinking
Good written and oral communication skills
Be able to work effectively in a team
Able to demonstrate effective leadership skills
Ability to organise and develop service provision
