Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Service Manager to join our Cardiology department.

This is a unique opportunity to lead and manage the coordination of Cardiac Physiology services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role is pivotal in supporting the clinical team by efficiently managing resources and driving operational improvements.

This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the delivery of cardiology services at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

You will be part of a supportive team dedicated to improving patient outcomes and operational efficiency. This is a pilot role with the potential to become a substantive position based on the success of the initiative on each clinical and performance outcome.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Lead the onboarding of new physiologists and support the clinical leads in delivering a new workforce strategy focused on recruitment and retention.
  • Drive Dm01 recovery and waiting times reduction.
  • Manage and lead the rota allocation for all Cardiac Physiology services.
-Support the remodelling of service provision across the organization, aiming to reduce high-value locum and agency costs.
  • Ensure data accuracy and compliance with national and regional databases, coordinating data collection and submissions.
  • Act as the Staff Council Coordinator, facilitating effective communication and collaboration between staff and leadership.
