Assistant Accountant

Robert Half are currently working with a business based in East Bristol who are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join them on a 3 month temporary basis to assist with a project. This has potential to extend to 6 months.

This role has free parking & hybrid working 2-3 days working in the office per week

Role: Assistant Accountant
Hourly rate: £35,000 - £40,000
Duration: 3 months, with potential to extend to 6
Start date: ASAP

Working pattern: Full time position - 37.5 hours a week. Hybrid working of 2-3 days a week in the office.

Responsibilities include:

Manual/exception payment input and approvals as required onto various payment platforms
Payment query resolution and investigation
Maintenance of the approver calendar ensuring availability
Charge back investigation and resolution
Preparation/maintenance of the exceptional/manual payment log analysis
Maintenance of credit card application, limit management, static data, PIN resets, etc
Support the Back Office/Settlements Manager in process analysis and activity transfer t

Person Specification

Proficient in Excel - VLOOKUP/Pivot table
Natural problem solver
Willing to learn
Computer literate
Previous experience at Assistant Accountant level with strong accounts payable knowledge
Great communication
