We are currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting students with special educational needs, particularly in Mathematics.
The ideal candidate will possess the skills and commitment necessary to provide tailored numeracy support to pupils with diverse abilities, including those with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, including Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC).
Position:
As a Numeracy Intervention Teaching Assistant at our Secondary SEN School in York, you will work closely with students on a one-to-one basis and in small, mixed-year groups, adapting your support to meet specific abilities and needs.

Key Details:- Salary: £83.85+ per day via PAYE (no umbrella company or agency fees), paid weekly.
- Location: The school is easily accessible by public transport and offers on-site parking for those who drive.
- Working Hours: This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, ensuring consistency for both you and the students you support.
- Payment Basis: You will be paid on a timesheet basis through Teaching Personnel, ensuring a straightforward payroll process.
- Start Date: An immediate start is available following registration with Teaching Personnel.
- Maths Graduates: Candidates with a background in mathematics are preferred, as your subject knowledge will be invaluable in supporting students effectively.
- Experienced Teaching Assistants: Previous experience in a Teaching Assistant role, particularly in SEN or numeracy intervention, will be highly advantageous.
