In-house Legal Counsel

If successful, you will join the business at an exciting time, providing you with the opportunity to shape the role and legal function in the UK. The role will report to the UK Finance Director with legal counterparts in other jurisdictions as well as the ability to work closely with senior stakeholders such as the CFO and Board of Directors.

• Stay up to date and advise on pertinent laws, regulations, and industry standards impacting the food sector.
• Contribute to updating, developing and implementing internal policies and procedures as well as providing the relevant training.
• Drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts including, but not limited to, service agreements, licensing agreements and vendor contracts.
• Providing legal advice to internal stakeholders regarding contract interpretation, rights, and obligations.
• Collaborate with internal departments in various European countries, aligning legal regulations across the jurisdictions.
• Develop and maintain a legal framework, ensuring strong internal controls.
• Support with a range of corporate matters such as transactions, M&A and JVs.
• Support with corporate governance activities and company secretarial matters.
• Assist with dispute resolution and litigation matters.
• Manage external counsel.

• 3 PQE+ as a guideline
• Preference for England & Wales qualification
• Prior experience working in the food industry
