Job overview

The Project Support Assistant will provide comprehensive project and operational support to the Bladder and Bowel Community Continence Service. This role involves assisting the Clinical lead with managing certain projects that are envisioned over the course of a year.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a dynamic healthcare environment. The post holder will also be the dedicated staff member providing administrative support for the Bladder and Bowel classes.

Main duties of the job

To provide support and assistance to the Clinical and Operational Lead of the Bladder and Bowel service. They will participate in project support required from the Clinical and Operational Lead. This may include and not be limited to reviewing the financial data analysis of pads budget, working with NHS Supply and HDS for data analysis review, contacting patients regarding changes in pads, extensive data analysis from reports and working with key stakeholders such as the Finance Team, Home Delivery Service and NHS Supply Chain.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organisational policies.
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals, patients, and external partners to facilitate smooth service delivery.
  • To review the quarterly reports provided by NHS Supply Chain and identify trends, areas for improvements, potential changes to be made.
  • Data analysis with Clinical Lead to support with provision of pads and reduce expenditure.

Essential criteria
  • Experience of working in an administrative role, specifically project support
  • IT literate
  • Working in Bladder and Bowel services
Desirable criteria
  • Finance and budget support experience
  • RiO experience

Knowledge
