The British Creative Institute (BCI) seeks an experienced and certified Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to lead and shape the educational provision for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a forward-thinking, creative, and inclusive environment.
About the RoleAs SENCo, you will: Oversee and enhance SEND provision to ensure all students' needs are effectively met.
Lead the development, implementation, and review of Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs), ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.Provide guidance and training to teaching staff to support inclusive practices and differentiated teaching methods.
Monitor the progress and outcomes of SEND learners, implementing interventions and strategies where necessary.
Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure cohesive support for students.
Develop innovative strategies to increase student enrollment by showcasing BCI's commitment to excellence in SEND education.
Stay updated on SEND policies, frameworks, and best practices to ensure the institution remains compliant and progressive.
RequirementsMust be a certified SENCo with a recognized Special Educational Needs Coordination qualification.
Demonstrable knowledge and experience in the SEND sector, including policies, frameworks, and statutory requirements.
Proven ability to drive measurable improvements in outcomes for SEND learners.
Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
A proactive, innovative approach to problem-solving and strategy development.
