Aston - Technical Team Leader
The College of Health and Life Sciences is seeking to appoint a Technical Team Leader on a fixed term basis to provide maternity cover. You will join a team of technicians who provide specialist technical support to the teaching and research facilities of Medicine, Nursing Pharmacy and Physician's Associate. The successful candidate will be required to provide day-to-day management of the team and will undertake duties such as below:
Leading and Engendering a positive team working atmosphereCoaching and Mentoring colleagues within the team
Organising and allocating team workload
Providing guidance on career development
Managing and controlling a budget within set targets
Providing Health and Safety advice
Liaising with key stakeholders such as Heads of Schools, Programme Directors, Estates, Health and Safety
Providing support to teaching and research facilities
A satisfactory DBS check required. The successful candidate will need to hold a degree in Biosciences, Chemistry or equivalent, and will need to have experience of working in clinical facilities. Experience in leading a team would also be beneficial for this role.
