Koala North West have been successfully supporting families for 25 years and we are looking for someone who is passionate about the quality of services available for families with children aged 0-11 years.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Outreach Worker to join our Tiny Teeth Team in Liverpool

The role is 25 hours per week (days and times to be discussed at interview)

This post is a fixed term post until 30th September 2025 subject to additional funding
Office base is Liverpool

Salary: £12.60 per hour

Purposes of the job
  • To provide direct support to families with children aged 0-5 years, living in Liverpool’s most deprived wards to raise awareness of the importance of good oral health in young children
  • Reduce health inequalities by delivering effective health promotion re: oral health
  • Raise awareness of poor oral health and ways in which it can be prevented
  • Provide information/education and support on bottles and dummies for healthy teeth that peer support volunteers can share with families & organisations
  • Providing direct support to families with an emphasis on early development, accessing services and empowering parents
  • To raise awareness of the project across Liverpool through network events and meetings
  • To work in partnership with CHCP (City Health Care Partnership) oral health and Family Hubs/Children Centres
  • Support to help parents feel less isolated and increase knowledge and engagement of local community services.
  • To build good working relationships with referrers and other agencies to ensure the provision of the most effective and appropriate support for families
  • To have a flexible approach in working as part of a team
  • To report regularly to the Early Years Senior Co-ordinator & Early Years’ Service Manager
