Our Radiology Booking Centre Manager will be responsible for the line management of Supervisors and teams within the Radiology Call Centre, ensuring the effective delivery of a high-quality service.
The successful candidate will support the Radiology Practice Manager with the day-to-day operational management of the service, coordinating team activities with minimal supervision to maintain efficiency and service standards.
A strong understanding of all roles within their area of responsibility is essential. The post holder should be prepared to provide direct support and step into operational roles when required to ensure service continuity.
This role requires excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and team development.
Main duties of the job- To support and deputise for the Radiology Practice Manager in delivery of the administrative and clerical aspects of the Radiology patient pathways.
- To provide direct line management support of the Call centre their clerical and administration teams in those areas.
- To monitor and ensure that the management of patients is efficient and effective, considering the individual needs of the patient and the requirements of the service.
- To support monitoring of radiology performance metrics and understand the implication of these.
- To support management of Radiology Network activities (Peninsula Radiology Network – PenRAD).
- Support the Radiology Management team continually review and improve processes to deliver an efficient and effective service to patients.
- To ensure that patients and staff are treated with courtesy, dignity and respect.
Working for our organisation
Our dedicated Radiology Administration Team is structured into three key areas: the Secretaries' Offices, the Call Centre, and the Main Office.
The Call Centre Team consists of three supervisors and eight clerical officers, who are responsible for coordinating and managing appointments for patients requiring diagnostic imaging services.
The Radiology Office Manager will support the Practice Manager in overseeing all aspects of the Call Centre’s operations and will provide direct line management to the team.

Essential criteria- •NVQ Level 3 qualification in Business Administration or equivalent experience
- • NVQ level 4/diploma qualification in business management or equivalent experience
