Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Assembly Teams operate assigned automated assembly machinery, ensure component flow, troubleshoot and correct machinery issues to ensure quality and productivity. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures.Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.
Job Description:
As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of operations, including soldering, PCB assembly, and product testing, specifically for electronic measuring products. You will work in a collaborative environment to ensure that products meet stringent quality and performance standards.
- Accurately read and interpret assembly instructions, diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Inspect and test assemblies to ensure they adhere to specified standards and quality requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Be aware of EH&S issues i.e. COSHH & Risk assessments.
- Adhere to working practices & procedures.
- Monitor & control quality.
- Keep up to date with day to day operations/new/existing products and complete work on time in line with process times.
- Have an understanding of areas documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness of the area and equipment while applying 5S +1.
- Ensure that all customer targets are achieved.
- Carry out any other duties as requested by the Utilities Supervisor
Skills and Knowledge:
- Knowledge of electronic product assembly and testing is advantageous.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment, promoting safety and efficiency.
- Capable of testing finished products and parts to meet predefined specifications.
- Identify and rectify product defects and assembly issues promptly.
Key Requirements:
- Flexibility to work overtime at short notice, in line with the business demands.
- Work on own initiative and as part of a team. Good communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Reliability.
- Prior Kitting or Connectors experience not necessary but preferred.
- Training will be provided.
