Job Description- Managing all costings related to construction projects from the initial calculations to the final figures
- Assessing the financial risks of projects and making recommendations to mitigate these
- Acting as a liaison between clients and contractors, ensuring clear communication at all times
- Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment and other documents
- Advising on procurement strategy and assisting in establishing a client's requirements
- Valuing completed work and arranging payments
- Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports
- Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use
The Successful Applicant
A successful Quantity Surveyor should have:
- A degree in quantity surveying, civil engineering, or a related field
- Knowledge of construction contracts and procurement options
- Excellent numeracy and financial management skills
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities
- Proficiency in relevant software applications
- A commitment to continuous professional development
- An analytical, problem-solving mindset
- An understanding of health and safety regulations
- A competitive day rate of approximately £300 to £350 per day

- 12 Month Contract which could get extended!
