Post-16 Student Support Worker
We are recruiting for a dedicated institution committed to providing inclusive and supportive education for post 16 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). They specialize in catering to individuals with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), learning difficulties, complex medical needs, and physical needs.As part of our commitment to fostering an environment of growth and empowerment, we are seeking passionate and dedicated SEN College Support Workers to join the team.
Temporary, long termTo start after the Easter break (from 15th April)
4 days a week (Monday-Thursday)
Child & Adult enhanced DBS essentialKey Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one support to students with PMLD, learning difficulties, complex medical needs, and physical needs.Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Personal Care Plans.
Support students in accessing the curriculum and actively participate in their learning activities.
Provide personal care, including assistance with feeding, toileting, and hygiene needs.
Collaborate with teaching staff, therapists, and healthcare professionals to create a holistic support system for each student.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes independence and social integration.
Monitor and record student progress, behaviour, and achievements.Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience working with individuals with PMLD, learning difficulties, complex medical needs, and physical needs.Ability to provide personal care and support with sensitivity and professionalism.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting individuals with SEN.
Knowledge of relevant policies and procedures related to safeguarding and health and safety.Interested?
