Your new role

As Audit Manager, you will play a crucial role in the practice overseeing and managing audit engagements from planning through to completion. You will manage a portfolio of clients having responsibility for agreeing audit timetables, briefing the audit team, monitoring budgets and supervising the audit process.
Your responsibilities will include: overseeing audit assistants' work, ensuring compliance with client and statutory audit requirements, ensuring the effective and timely delivery of engagements, overseeing and directing the budgeting, planning, co-ordination and control of engagements in accordance with client and statutory audit methodology, ensuring effective service delivery.

Directing, coaching and mentoring assistant managers to assist them in the effective delivery of engagements and the direction of juniors, ensuring cost-effective, timely completion and effective service delivery to the required standard on each audit, nurturing and building relationships with clients, business departments and staff, for the sharing of information and to identify and progress current and future audit requirements.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Strong understanding of audit standards and regulatory requirements
  • At least 5–7 years experience working in audit
  • Ability to manage your own team and liaise with senior management and a range of stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent insight and integrity
  • Excellent analytical and IT skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and schedules
  • Effective communication skills

You will work for a leading accountancy firm in a senior level position. You will work strictly to office hours, Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm; hybrid work is also available. You will be offered a competitive salary based on your experience.
