Trainee Showroom Manager – Drive Motor Retail (York)
Due to expansion we are looking to strength our team at Drive Motor Retail in York!Are you an experienced Sales Executive that's looking for a Trainee Showroom Manager role? Whether you are currently working in a main dealership or an independent garage, we want to hear from you.
We are seeking a tenacious, enthusiastic, and results-driven Sales executive to evolve with training into a Trainee Showroom Manager. You will need to take responsibility for performance and lead development at our York dealership. Package Details:
- Basic Salary: Negotiable for the right candidate.
- OTE: £55,000 + stretch targets for additional bonus
- Hours of Work: Mon – Fri, 8:30am – 6pm (1 of these days off in the week due to working a Saturday), Saturday, 8:30am – 5pm + Alternating rota for Sunday, 10am – 4pm
- 24 days holiday + Bank Holidays (increasing with length of service)

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the showroom and vehicle display areas are always neat, tidy, and visually appealing
- Motivate the sales team and ensure they are correctly targeted
- Ensure the Drive sales process is fully adhered to
- Maintain PSS at or above the national average
- Actively promote Drive Motor Retail within the local community
- Ensure profit sheets are raised and passed to accounts within 24 hours of deal completion
- Manage staff rotas to ensure the showroom is adequately staffed at all times
- Chair morning team meetings to set goals and review performance
- Ensure the sales team meets daily prospecting activity and follow-up targets
- Comply with FCA Regulations and Procedures
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a Sales Executive role or a business manager position.
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to motivate and inspire a sales team to achieve targets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of automotive sales processes and FCA regulations
