Salary: Grade 5, Pts 7 to 8 (£11,628 - £11,822)Start Date: ASAPAn exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join Newtown Linford Primary School as a Learning Support Assistant on a fixed term basis until 25th August 2025.

The Learning Support Assistant is responsible for providing support to both our pupils and teachers to provide a high-quality learning experience. The successful candidate will be required to work 8.40am – 1.00pm, Monday to Friday and your duties will include assisting with whole class activities, working with small groups, and providing 1:1 support to students with SEN.

The role of LSA within the school is an important and rewarding role, it provides vital support to those students who need it and the opportunity to access learning as part of the usual school day. We are looking to appoint a well-motivated; flexible, and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about providing high quality provision to our pupils and support to the Teachers within the school.

The role is a rewarding one with the successful candidates having the opportunity to positively develop and encourage our pupils in both their academic and social life. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their own practice whilst working with experienced teachers throughout the week.

The ideal candidate will:
  • Be NVQ Level 2 qualified or have equivalent experience of supporting teaching and learning in an educational setting.
  • Have the ability to take direction from the Class Teacher to ensure all tasks and learning is undertaken within and outside the classroom.
  • Have the motivation and passion for being part of a successful school team.
  • Have good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Have the ability to contribute to the progression of learning and school life.
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively.
