We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join our school. In this rewarding role, you will provide targeted support for students with additional learning needs, working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure each child can achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with special educational needs
- Implement strategies and interventions to support students' individual learning needs
- Work closely with the SENCO and class teacher to develop tailored learning plans
- Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all children
- Support students with personal care where required
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with special educational needs (desirable)
- A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles
- A passion for making a difference in the lives of students with additional needs
