About the Role

We are looking for an experienced part time Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in Barnet as the Clinical Lead. In this role, you will:

  • Provide specialist assessments, treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions for individuals experiencing substance use challenges.
  • Offer clinical supervision to prescribing staff, ensuring best practice in line with professional and organisational standards.
  • Lead on the implementation of clinical governance procedures, supporting the ongoing development of high-quality care.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, external agencies, and key partners to deliver holistic, person-centred support.
Salary: £54,665 - £59,000 per annum (for 15 hours per week, dependent on experience)

Contract: Permanent

Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, salary and benefits will be pro-rata based on contracted hours.

About You

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced professional with a strong background in addiction psychiatry. The ideal candidate will have:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Medical Degree with Basic Medical Training completion.
  • Full GMC-UK Registration with a License to Practice.
  • MRCPsych or equivalent qualification.
  • Consultant Psychiatrist on the GMC Specialist Register with a Substance Misuse endorsement.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • In-depth knowledge of addiction psychiatry, including opiate substitution therapy, detoxification protocols, and post-detox pharmacology.
  • Experience working with substance use and mental health challenges, with a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
  • Strong understanding of clinical prescribing and governance.
  • Flexibility to work across different sites and adapt to service needs.
