ICT System Engineer
Our client is one of the world’s largest OEM manufacturers with manufacturing sites worldwide, including a large production facility in the North East. They are currently looking for an ICT System Engineer to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a technical IT individual to join a world-class employer. Reporting into the EU team, this role will cover a broad range of projects and will offer fantastic long term progression opportunities. This role would suit an experienced IT System Engineer, or a Technical Support Engineer looking to move into a project focussed role.

About the role
As ICT System Engineer, you will be maintaining the company’s ICT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation and security. You will also work on a variety of upgrade and improvement projects ensuring that all systems are fit for purpose.
Key responsibilities for the ICT System Engineer include:- Configuring and troubleshooting network devices, servers, and storage systems.
- Implementing and managing virtualisation technologies.
- Providing technical support to internal teams.
- Insuring Security is maintained using TrendMicro DeepSecurity and Microsoft Defender.
About you
The successful ICT System Engineer will be a driven individual who is eager to learn and expand their skill set. You will have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
Other requirements include:- Proven experience as an ICT System Engineer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing Windows and Linux servers.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols and security measures.
- Experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware or Nutanix.
- Knowledge of Mobile Workplace including Citrix WorkSpace, Citrix ADC/Netscaler, Microsoft SCCM.
