Global FMCG Business, based in Cheshire, requires a Supply Chain Project Manager

Job Description

The role of Supply Chain Project Manager will be responsible for:

Lead Cross-Functional Projects: Manage end-to-end supply chain initiatives, collaborating with procurement, logistics, manufacturing, and commercial teams to deliver strategic objectives.

Project Planning & Execution: Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations, ensuring milestones are met within budget and scope.

Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements in supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.

Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and external partners, ensuring alignment and clear communication throughout project lifecycles.

Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure continuity and resilience in supply chain operations.

Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize analytics and KPIs to monitor project performance, drive insights, and support continuous improvement.

Change Management: Support the adoption of new systems, tools, or processes by leading training sessions and ensuring smooth transitions.

Compliance & Sustainability: Ensure all projects adhere to regulatory requirements and support the company's sustainability goals.

The Successful Applicant

Ideally, the candidate will have the following background:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations within the FMCG sector or a similarly fast-paced industry
Proven track record of leading and delivering cross-functional supply chain projects on time and within budget
Strong Excel and data analysis skills; experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or Jira).
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
Ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
