Our client is an exciting new independent multidisciplinary small animal veterinary referral hospital based in the North East, close to the vibrant cities of Newcastle and Durham. They are seeking a dedicated hospital clinician to join their team.
Our client offers referral services in soft tissue, orthopaedics, internal medicine, neurology, ophthalmology, cardiology, and oncology. Their in-house facilities include CT, ultrasound, endoscopy, arthroscopy, laparoscopy, fluoroscopy (dedicated theatre), separate medical and surgical kennels, lab, operating microscope, veterinary ventilators, and a wide array of diagnostic and surgical equipment.They also have MRI visiting on a weekly basis, and a new ICU/high-dependency unit is planned for the next phase of expansion.
You will be a key part of a small and friendly team as they continue their journey to be the best in the region for their patients, clients, and staff. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work well under pressure and should be an excellent team player.This position is best suited to someone who has worked for at least two years in primary care practice, ideally including experience with out-of-hours work.
The successful candidate must have a passion for increasing their veterinary knowledge through exposure to a variety of referral caseloads and patient care. You must be an MRCVS and eligible to work in the UK. You should have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and competent IT skills.

The Rota:- Full time role

- Competitive salary from £40,000 to £55,000 DOE
- 6.6 weeks annual leave (including bank holidays)
