Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Food Technology that meet the national curriculum standards.
- Inspire students to explore food science, cooking techniques, nutrition, and sustainability.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
- Assess, monitor, and provide constructive feedback on students' progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching resources and extracurricular activities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in practical lessons.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification is desired but not essential.
- Experience teaching Food Technology or a related subject at the secondary level.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students of varying abilities.
- Knowledge of current educational practices and curriculum developments in Food Technology.
- Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
