About the Role At Acorns Childrens Hospice we offer specialist palliative care and support for children and their families across the West Midlands. We are there wherever and whenever they need us, in the hospice, community and at home. Our aim at Acorns is to help families feel equipped to cope at every stage of their childs life with dedicated teams offering psychological, emotional and practical support.
As Outreach Clinical Lead, you will: Provide holistic specialist palliative and end of life care nursing assessment of children, young people and their families with highly complex needs Work collaboratively with other clinical team leaders/specialist nurses/ family support/ward based staff across the hospice and community to deliver a safe and effective service which makes best use of available resources Influence the continued development of palliative care services, ensuring that all legislative requirements and national initiatives are implemented, supported and evaluated Deliver/contribute to the delivery of education programmes and resources for parents/carers and professionals as required Participate and lead research and audit within the area of paediatric palliative care and support.
Participate in the Senior Nurse on call rota About You RSCN/RN (Child) Paediatric Palliative Care Qualification or willing to work towards Non-medical prescriber or willing to work towards Registered paediatric nurse with experience of acute and community care including support of children with complex and technological care needs.Experience of supporting children and families at the end of life Experience of clinical leadership/management What We Offer £45,000 to £52,000 per annum 37.5 hours per week Based in our Three Counties Hospice, Worcester (WR5 3EZ) with frequent travel around the local community Employee discounts from leading retailers Employee gym discount scheme Bike-to-Work scheme Generous contribution to group personal pension plan or continuation of current NHS pension scheme NHS pension scheme life assurance or Acorns group life assurance scheme Interviews are scheduled to be held on 11 March You need to be eligible to work in the UK to be considered for this role.
