Job overview
The post holder is responsible for delivering accredited leadership programmes and qualifications, core Trust training programmes and Inductions. Therefore it is expected that they will have significant training delivery and assessment experience.The post-holder will contribute to the planning of Trust wide programmes together with the associated assessment marking and internal quality assurance processes. They will be required to deliver training to small and large groups of staff as well as offering 1-2-1 support where necessary.
To support the Learning and Training Senior Facilitators in the design, delivery and implementation of new educational programmes designed to address emergent needs within the Trust.
Support the L&D Team with the development of innovative blended learning including e- Learning and videos, webinars and will be familiar with the use of digital engagement tools such as Vevox.
Main duties of the job
To ensure the smooth running of the programmes delivered on a day to day basis and work collaboratively with other departments and staff to develop and maintain systems and high standards which promote the professional image of the Education Academy.
To develop training materials, presentations and courses in a variety of formats e.g. face-to-face, digital etc. to meet Trust needs and to suit the style of the learners and the type of learning event.
To deliver training programmes and workshops to small and large groups of staff including delivery on the Corporate Induction programme which can accommodate up to 100 new starters per week.
To undertake the delivery of ILM leadership programmes and the associated assessment of work completed by learners and standardisation activity in accordance with the ILM syllabus and marking criteria.
To monitor and review the evaluations from their delivery to determine the effectiveness of content and mode of delivery. To suggest appropriate, constructive amendments to programmes based on an evaluation of delegate feedback.
Education Technology
Assist with the design of a range of blended/hybrid learning opportunities that will maximise our capacity to deliver to a wide range of staff. These may include e-Learning, webinars and digital engagement tools.

Qualifications
Essential criteria- Degree or equivalent level of knowledge
- Hold a relevant post-graduate teaching/training qualification e.g. PGCert Ed, DTLLs or equivalent
- Recognised coaching qualification
- Hold a relevant assessor qualification
Experience
Essential criteria- Significant demonstrable experience of planning, designing and delivering a variety of education and development programmes with a focus on leadership, management and soft skills.
- Experience of identifying and supporting learners who required additional support using a wide range of training methods.
- Responsible for ensuring that student information, including personal details and assessment results are kept in a secure environment both electronically and hard copy and made available for internal/external audit when needed.
- Experience of delivering and assessing accredited programmes
Knowledge
Essential criteria- Be able to apply knowledge of internal quality assurance processes particularly when dealing with ILM assessments
- Knowledge of e-learning packages and their use in learning and development.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word and Power Point with the ability to create professional training material.
- Knowledge and practical experience of designing a range of hybrid learning activities e.g. e-learning, podcasts, videos etc.
Skills
Essential criteria- Confident classroom management skills including dealing with differences in pace of learning and ability.
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills to groups ranging from 1 - 100.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously within a team.
- Ability to undertake evaluation of learning programmes in order to determine effectiveness and relevance of content.
- Ability to continuously identify current trends and best practice from academic research into learning & development and ensure these are built into our L&D portfolio.
- Ability to be flexible and have an adaptable approach to training delivery.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organisation
- Ability to give feedback on a range of issues including plagiarism within ILM written assignments, assignment results and learner progress
Other
Essential criteria- Ability to maintain a high level of concentration for prolonged periods of time when marking assignments.
- Self-motivate individual with the ability to take ownership and responsibility and stay calm under pressure.
- Sufficient to perform the duties of the post with any aids and adaptations
