We are currently seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated HCPC registered Clinical Psychologists to join the All Age Eating Disorder Service (EDS), which covers the Lancashire and South Cumbria area. The role would involve a significant clinical leadership component, in addition to direct clinical work focused on psychological assessment, formulation and evidence based intervention with people with eating disorders across the full age range.

Our service consists of five locality teams based in the Bay (Lancaster and South Cumbria), Fylde Coast, Central Lancashire, West Lancashire and East Lancashire – the vacancy is based within our Fylde Coast team, based in Blackpool.

Applications will be welcome from suitably qualified Clinical Psychologists.

The successful candidate will be expected to take a clinical and professional leadership role, to support the strategic development, clinical practice and robust governance of psychological interventions across staffing groups. They will support the Consultant Clinical Psychologist and work alongside the other Principal Psychologist in supporting service development and service delivery.
The post holder would also have a key role in the clinical supervision of other Clinical Psychologists and other professionals within the team. They will provide professional leadership to psychological professionals in accordance with a service wide governance structure.

You will contribute to the broader aims of the service through joint working, consultation, training, supervision and service development/ research. You should be an excellent communicator and team player, with successful applicants joining a dynamic multi-disciplinary team of professionals, including psychological professionals, specialist mental health nurses, specialist dietitians and medical professionals.

As part of the Specialist Network, you will benefit from an enthusiastic, hard-working and supportive peer group and will be part of a community of psychological professionals. The post holders will receive regular supervision and professional support from the consultant psychologist, and contact with relevant specialist interest groups is encouraged.

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.

The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
