Role: Summer Intern - Data Analyst
Location: Glasgow

Salary: £25,000 per annum (pro rata for the duration of the Summer Internship)

Your new role:

About the role:

Put your academic knowledge into practice and get work-ready before you graduate. With a placement suited to your area of interest, over 12 weeks you can dive right into some of our business challenges, collaborate on projects and learn from industry experts. As a Summer Intern - Data Analyst, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Help organisation make sense of the vast amounts of the data they collect.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of robust data collection, cleansing, and validation processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy
  • Use statistical and analytical tools (Power BI) to process and clean data, to ensure it is accurate and reliable.
  • Assist in producing and maintaining both internal and client-facing reports.
  • Prepare interactive dashboards to visually present a compelling story about your findings.
  • Present your findings and recommendations meaningly and concisely to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support implementation of new reporting capabilities and identify improvements to data quality checks and reporting
  • Set up and maintain automated data processes
  • Produce and track key performance indicators
  • Develop and support reporting processes
  • Monitor and audit data quality
  • Liaise with internal and external clients to fully understand data content
  • Gather, understand, and document detailed business requirements using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Design and carryout surveys and analyse data
  • Manipulate, analyse, and interpret complex data sets relating to the employer’s business
  • Assist with communication and engagement activities, communicating progress to stakeholders as required
  • Comply with UK Data Protection regulations
  • Ensure the security of employee information in accordance with legislation, best practices, and Robertson policies and procedures

What you'll need:

  • 2^nd or 3^rd year undergraduate within a related degree
  • The ability to work on own initiative and demonstrate a methodical approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team and under pressure

As a Summer Intern - Data Analyst we understand this may be one of your first roles so we’re looking for someone who is working towards a BA Hons/BSc/MSc degree and is ambitious, collaborative and determined to make a positive impact – a great fit for Team Robertson.
