Senior Maintenance Engineer

• Annual Salary: Up to £55,000 plus weekend on-call allowance
• Location: Frampton on Severn
• Job Type: Permanent, full-time

You will also be expected to lead a team of multi-skilled engineers and upskill and train production staff.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Control all aspects of the maintenance engineering department, delivering the objectives set by the site General Manager.
• Develop and implement the maintenance strategy for both sites, including routine, special, and stop period maintenance.
• Proactively develop and implement capital activities, exploring new technologies and industry developments to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with COMAH, Health & Safety, and Environmental standards within company procedures and legislative requirements.
• Identify areas for engineering improvement, maintaining equipment availability and reliability.
• Provide training to Operators in basic technical maintenance and contribute to ongoing training plans.
• Manage engineering budgets, forecasts, and plans, allocate resources efficiently, and adjust as necessary.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Core Electrical/Mechanical Engineering qualification from an apprenticeship, college, or university.
• Strong experience in electrical and mechanical fault finding.
• Experience in technical project management.
• Extensive experience as a Maintenance Engineer or Senior Engineer within the food or FMCG sectors is highly desirable.
