Maintenance Technician

Job Profile

The ideal candidate will have have maintenance and repair experinece, will be Mechanically Qualified, will hold ideally be COMPEX certified and will be based within a commutable distance of Wigan.

• Maintenance and repairs of Chemical plant equipment where necessary
• Installation of Chemical plant equipment where necessary
• Testing and Calibrating to Quality Control Specifications
• Resolve any unplanned breakdowns
• Responding to required corrective and preventive actions
• Liaise with Maintenance Manager to ensure all items required for scheduled shut down are obtained and that stoppage time is minimised
• Accurately complete all necessary documentation in a timely manner

• Previous experience in a Maintenance role essential
• Qualified in Mechanical Engineering / Maintenance
• Mechanically biased with a working knowledge of electrical engineering
• COMPEX Certified - this can be provided
• Proficient in Fault Finding, Diagnosis, Maintenance and Repair
• Any experience working on a COMAH will be advantageous
• Based within a commutable distance of Wigan

• £20.19 per hour
• Monday - Friday 8:00 - 16:30 - 42.5 hours a week (£45,931.60 per annum)
• 28 days holiday inclusive of public holidays
• Pension
