The Opportunity:

The newly established Baillie Gifford Pandemic Science Hub (PSH) at The University of Edinburgh is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Clinical Research Fellow to take a leading role in developing and testing interventional devices in clinical research studies.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.

Your skills and attributes for success:

Medical degree with full GMC registration and MRCP/part 1 FRCA/MRCEM.
Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual, who is able to work as part of dynamic interdisciplinary team.

Able to work to tight deadlines.

Willingness to register and undertake a PhD
Competency in bronchoscopy techniques.
Experience of ICU and/or respiratory medicine.

An Honorary NHS contract will be sought for the successful post holder. You therefore must be eligible to hold an honorary contract with NHS Lothian and must also be registered with the General Medical Council and must hold or obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership and it should be noted that the offer of appointment will also be subject to Occupational Health clearance prior to commencement of duty.
