The PWR team at Teaching Personnel are working with an Ofsted-graded ‘Good’ high school in Hackney to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Geography Teacher for a permanent role starting in September 2025 (or Easter for the right candidate).This is an exciting opportunity to join a school with a strong reputation for academic success, a vibrant Humanities department, and a commitment to delivering an engaging and relevant Geography curriculum.

The Role:
- Teaching Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach A-Level for experienced candidates
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons that promote curiosity, global awareness, and critical thinking
- Supporting students in their exam preparation and coursework through structured intervention strategies
- Encouraging students to take part in fieldwork opportunities and Geography-related extracurricular activities
- Collaborating with the Humanities department to share best practices and develop innovative teaching resources
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching Geography at secondary level, ideally with GCSE and/or A-Level experience
- Be passionate about Geography and committed to fostering a love for the subject in students
- Have strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging learning environment
- Be open to professional development opportunities and career progression within the school
- A strong and supportive Humanities department with excellent teaching resources
- A leadership team that prioritises staff well-being and professional growth
- Opportunities for career progression, including potential for a TLR for the right candidate
- A diverse and inclusive school community that values academic success and student engagement
