Senior Litigation Lawyer - ref. v2047803
Service Care Solutions is working alongside a thriving local authority, based in Lancashire, which needs a Senior Litigation Lawyer to join their team and handle Criminal and Civil Litigation matters. This role involves management responsibilities and it would be well suited to someone who is looking to spearhead a team!
This position is a three-month rolling contract and they can pay a competitive rate of £55-£60ph umbrella. There is potential negotiation on the rate for the right candidate.
Responsibilities involved in the Senior Litigation Lawyer role- Handle a mixed caseload of Criminal and Civil Litigation matters from start to completion.
- Manage a litigation legal team and provide support whenever necessary
- Provide expert legal counsel to the council and its departments on litigation risk, strategies, and decision-making
- Prepare cases and represent the council in courts and tribunals, ensuring well-prepared, effective advocacy
- A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with Criminal and Civil Litigation experience
- Someone who has worked for a Local Authority within a litigation legal team
- Someone who can attend the county hall (Preston) once a week.
- Ideally someone with management experience
