We are looking for Senior Risk & Controls Analyst from consulting, investment banking or financial services backgrounds to join our team.
Responsibilities:
While the scope of each project may be different, your duties & responsibilities may include:
- Planning, carrying out, and reporting on control testing outcomes
- Guiding and mentoring team members in control testing processes
- Ensuring parts of the testing program are completed on schedule, addressing and solving any issues that hinder progress
- Upholding high standards and best practices in testing activities
- Challenging stakeholders on control design and effectiveness
- Assisting stakeholders with control improvements identified during testing
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders in Front Office, Markets Conduct Risk, Compliance, and Operational Risk
- Delivering impactful summaries of testing results to Senior Management and Governance Committees
- Offering expertise in Markets controls to stakeholders across all three lines of defence
Qualifications:
- Strong educational background – Degree (Masters would be an advantage)
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of seniority
- Strong interpersonal skills, with good relationship building and engagement skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- In-depth understanding of the Markets business operations and regulatory requirement
- Comprehensive knowledge of the operational and compliance risks in Markets, including trading and sales, and the controls to mitigate these risks
- Proficient in evaluating the design and effectiveness of controls through assessment and testing methodologies
- Experienced in conducting controls testing in the Front Office, as well as in internal and external audit or control consulting roles
- Proven ability to manage complex tasks within tight deadlines
- Skilled in mentoring and developing team members
- Capable of leading a team to ensure meticulous execution and attention to detail
- Accomplished in building and sustaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders
