Reed Finance Norwich are seeking a Credit Control Manager to oversee our clients Billing & Collections Team, ensuring effective management of the credit control team. This role requires a detailed knowledge of credit control, combined with excellent leadership and communication skills.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Lead billing and collections activities, ensuring alignment with company standards and compliance with Head Office requirements.
  • Balance team support, coaching, and development with responsibility for managing your own debtor portfolio.
  • Communicate effectively with clients via email, telephone, and face-to-face meetings to resolve queries and reduce aged debt.
  • Advocate for and instigate efficient query management, collaborating with team members and other stakeholders to identify exception trends and reduce booking errors.
  • Contribute to the delivery and improvement of management and operational reporting.
  • Regularly review and adjust client account allocations to credit controllers to ensure equitable distribution and alignment with any organisational changes.
  • Develop and initiate new or adjusted credit control activities to enhance financial returns and service provision to company clients.
  • Serve as a reference point for the Norwich team and other business areas, supporting vendor relationships and related business processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of credit control, debt management, and exception management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant business software.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements related to credit collection.
  • Leadership or coaching experience necessary.
  • Qualifications in Credit Management or Accounting.
